I've done two. I wanted to quit both times but peer group pressure made it impossible to opt out. It's pretty scary standing on the edge because self-preservation makes it just so difficult to take that little hop into nothingness
You get a real rush at the point you realise you survived the jump. Mind you, it's not something I'll rush out to experience again....

Never and I don't intend to.
However, last summer at age 46 I was trying to convince my children to go off the high board (15 metres or 50 foot) at the local pool. I went all the way to the top looked down and scared the hell out of myself when I realised how small the pool looked - I was genuinely worried that if I ran too far I would land on the concrete instead of in the water.
I then looked down and saw all these 10-11 year olds staring up and waiting for me to jump so I just had to do it. It seemed like ages before I hit the water and i hit pretty hard. When I got out of the water I realised my whole side was red from the impact . Ouch! and never again.
