Default Who Remembers Brian Sipe?

Brian Sipe was the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns from 1974 to 1983.

He's the Browns' all-time leading passer.

I met him last Thursday, in Agnew Meadows campground near Devil's Postpile National Monument.

My wife and I were on a short camping vacation from Tuesday to Saturday, and on Thursday morning a gentleman came over to our campsite to say that he was the football coach for Santa Fe Christian School near San Diego and that in about an hour his high school team would be arriving and would be our neighbors for a couple of days; he introduced himself as Brian Sipe and we chatted a bit.

It turned out that the team needed more room, so they took several sites on the other side of the campground. Our schedules were such that we never ran across each other again.

On Saturday I told my wife that I knew that there had been an NFL quarterback whose last name was "Sipe", and that I thought his first name was "Brian". A little search on the internet led to this article.

You can meet the most interesting people in the most unusual places!

Although not a Browns fan I do remember them well, they played in a lot of very entertaining football games.

You bet I remember him. Being a Browns fan and all!! He lives in San Diego and when I was out there visitng my brother we saw him at a little place off the DelMar exit at I5 along the ocean called "Deannies" or something like that. I believe Brain Sipe is into design of buldings, etc. My brother was in his office once and picked up one of his business cards for me. Those were some exciting years of football.

Your comment isn't clear.

Are you saying that Aztec alumni (graduates (plural) of SDSU) enjoy (like) you? Or did you intend to say that Mr. Sipe is an alumnus (singular) of SDSU, even as you are?
