Ninh, you must love the bay area, because you could live high on the hog in many other places.

Well, I'm in line to "inherit" a couple of offices as the current physicians retire. The money is OK now but it'll be good in a couple of years. I figure I should stay for the future.

I already live below my means, so I don't see any big changes in the future. I have almost 9 months of living expense saved up, and plan on continuing to add to it. If things were better I'd be thinking of using that for toys (an S2000 CR or Elise perhaps) but I'm quite happy with what I have right now.

My 401(k) is set to 15% and since I don't need any extra cash I plan on leaving it there. Granted the market probably will go down some more, but I'm in it for the long haul for another 30 years or so. Buying while the market is down will likely help me in the long run.

i generally save $ each year so I will just keep on rollin'.... i just bought a 4 wheeler, my stupid 1994 civic si and a 2003 Cobra mustang convertible so I think I should be about done blowing $ for right now.... although the mustang needs lowered and some wheels...

luckily i think most people here have pretty decent incomes....
