I think you're wrong. Cops aren't pigs, they're just dumb.

but seriously, what I've noticed is that older cops are just more respectable than the younger kids who just became a cop.
They think they're the hot shit, meanwhile they forget that they're serving us, and not trying to kill us or harm us in the process.
What gets me the most are the fact that there are seriously dangerous people out there but they would rather pick on the helpless woman instead.
This is what is wrong with the most police in this country. Having too much force at their disposal with a small dick complex and not being too bright.
I do have to say there are very fine police men and women who does their job very well and are very intelligent. The problem is there aren't too many of them.
what is wrong with the police department when my druggie, racist, redneck friend could be a police officer.

there are some good cops and tehre are some bad ones. but, lets be real here, in order to be a cop you dont even need to go to college, yet you have the power to completely alter someones life in an instant. cops should be paid more, but also have more stringent requirements in order to be a cop. today, its easier to find an asshole/moron cop than a good cop.

btw, a lady with parkinsons who fell asleep at the wheel? sounds like she has been taking too many valiums and benzos. she should be tested for those!!! she probably really was under the influence.

As someone had mentioned, yes, there are good cops out there but every time I hear some kind of investigation going down, you inevitably come across the "blue wall of silence". Cops apparently don't "police" themselves. And they wonder why they get no respect!

I agree its respectful they are out there taking a bullet for 21k a year, but there is no proper checks and balances system for them, its like power without responsibility. Polkivos is right, the older cops are more on the ball while the younger ones have a serious complex. Good and bad, yes, we have that in every aspect of society. Im medicne; however, someone ****s up once, we can their ass. So why are cops special? Were both out saving lives and yes we can and will encounter life threatening situations in medicne too.

eh, it was based on that statement, "give up 3 million dollar a year salary to become a cop".

Hey, i would understand that you have to follow your passion in life, but 3 million dollar's 3 mill, no doubt.

with that money, you could buy half of the police force.

I think it's the combination of lack of intelligence and empowerment. I've met four cops within my inner circle of friends. Three of them are genuine good people. One of them is an ass. Last summer, when I went with him and other friends to the beach, we drove separate cars. I was warned that he drives like a maniac on the road because he's a cop, so don't bother following him. I didn't believe it till I saw the way he drove his civic with his 2 friends and girlfriend in the car. Tell me why he feels like he can drive above speed limit, cut off other drivers without signaling and put other drivers in danger but at the same time, if and when he's on duty, he would pull over any driver that did the same as he did. This is an absolute bullshit they pull. For me, it's just being smart and getting out of their way, it's a lose lose situation otherwise.
