sure, it's a touchy subject, but I believe all who were commenting were approaching it respectfully and in an objective, non-judmental, very considerate and certainly educational manner.

I have already PMed 2 moderators as to why it was banned. Hopefully they can give a good answer for this, because if they cant, many other threads in this forum should not be allowed either.

Just curious as to why some girls only date guys of a certain race, thats all.

And from my point of view, it seems like Asian guys are involved in the least amount of interracial relationships.

"They're ugly."

well, it's certainly tasteless to say, "I don't date (insert race here)." if they follow it up with a "... because they're all _______." then that's probably racist.

but if she says, "I don't date asians because I have a soft spot for blond guys." well, that's personal preferences and hey, can't knock that.

now saying "Asians are ugly." (like your 2nd quote) that's racist IMHO. Labeling an entire race of people with a derrogatory term = racism (to me).

 

Probably locked because it was a potentially explosive topic. I agree that it had been conducted pretty responsibly while it was open, but if you REALLY wanna have that sort of conversation I'm sure there is a more appropriate board for it.

BTW...I wasn't the mod that locked it. I was karting they whole time that thread was open. I'm just guessing about why it was locked.

People date who they are attracted to...that simple.

I too do now know who locked it because there is no reason given by that moderator. I'm sure she/he will chime in once they read the report as to why it was closed.
