Hey Raj, I resent that!!! You can say the same about Men too.

As for a womans POV on this. Men are just as bad as women on physical apperances and race. I have no "out of race" comments since I dont care what race you are...if I find you attractive, then I would date you. I just so happen to marry someone with the qualities I look for in a man.

My thing is, if you cant take rejection, then dont ask. However some women wait for a man to ask, so you might wait for a while. Otherwise, rejection makes you stronger, and you can always give them the line....."Thank God!!! I was already coming up with a line on how to get rid of you!!!"

 

whoa. i remember talking to an really attractive asian girl a long time ago, and she told me that she wasn't attracted to black guys. i thought it was funny at first, i mean how can you not find one person in an ethnicity attractive? i didn't call her a racist, but quickly came to that conclusion;for some odd reason after that, she just wasn't that pretty anymore.

 

to a certain extent. there are attractive people in every race who I would date. I'm sure she-- and others-- feel the same way.

let me give a hypothetical example though that might clarify perhaps what she might've meant-- and who knows? maybe she was a racist?-- but IMHO I don't think she said enough there to draw a conclusion.

I find 1-in-10 Blues attractive enough to date
I find 1-in-100 Greens attractive enough to date
I find 1-in-1000 Pinks attractive enough to date

Therefore, I tend to date Blues. Maybe Greens once in a while, but Blues 10x more often. I've never dated a Pink because I haven't met that many and the only attractive Pinks I've seen are on magazine covers.

If I said, "I'm not attracted to Pinks." am I a racist? ignorant? maybe I just haven't ran into an attractive Pink yet, so in my ignorance, all Pinks (except the ones on magazines) aren't attractive to me.

I'd say I'm being ignorant. I just haven't ran into a Pink who I'd like to date.

Now, if I said, "All Pinks are ugly." that would be retarded because it isn't true, even by my standards (1-in-1000). if I said, "All Pinks are (insert derrogatory statement here) and that's why I don't date them!" that would be racist, IMHO.

My point: I think racism is assigning some kind of negative trait to an entire race by virtue of their being that race. Finding members of that race unattractive (to just that person) is just an opinion-- that is, personal preference-- but is not a negative trait.

 

Yeah, if a girl's personality is way too shallow I don't dig it. Hell, I am so picky that if I see a girl with a deformed toe, or chewing with her mouth open I don't care if she is Heidi Klum (oh wait maybe I do), I don't care if she is beautiful, mouth open while chewing or wierd toe, that's a no go for Chris
