Why do I not want, or desire to have children? Other peoples kids (under 10)
Drive me nuts. I can't stand them. Nothing irritates me more than an unsupervised/undisciplined child.

I have my thoughts...and I'll post them after I get some opinions first

With kids like this...you certainly wouldn't need a house alarm, a dog, or even a gun.

 

I cant stand other people's children.

But children are about building a family. How your children turn out is up to you. So dont worry about what you see other kids doing.

 

When I was younger, people always used to ask me if I planned to have children. My answer was always no.

Now that I'm in my late 30's, people ask me if I have children. My answer remains no.

You know what say? "GOOD FOR YOU. If I had to do it over again, I would never have had kids."



Don't worry about it. Live your life and don't forget to have fun doing it.

 

Kids are cool....you just have to lay down the law and not let them rule the roost. Watch Super Nanny on ABC. Poor behavior in kids is 99.9% of the time the result of poor parenting.

 

I'm 35, korean, married to a psycho er.. I mean korean gal, and I hated children too.. then we had one. She's absolutely fantastic and I cant imagine life without her even when she goes through melt downs like below.


Don't get me wrong though, I still hate everyone elses kid

But in your situation, 47 is very old to have your first child. Any woman who is pregnant over the age of 30 is considered geriatric and require constant monitoring. This is due to there being a very good chance that your wife and/or the baby will experience complications.

No worries though, lots of empty nesters out there and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that.

 

I don't have kids nor do I want any at the moment, but from what I've heard from couples with kids (where they really didn't want one) is that once they have a baby their "parent instinct" kicks in and they don't know how they could live without kids.

 

If you don't want them don't have them.

I have 2 of them and they take up a lot of them and are a lot of work and keep me really busy and I can't do a lot of things that I want to do because of them.

I absolutely positively love them and can't imagine my life without them.

I hate being away from them for too long, and would rather never own a ferrari (something I could do if i didn't have kids) than not have them.

Every smile, every step, every time they say dadda, or daddy, when they sit on my lap and when they take a nap with me. When my older one asks me a million times why? why? why? I love it.

I like kids, but there's nothing like having your own.

You shouldn't have them though until you know you want to.

 

yup... how they turn out depends on your upbringing. Don't blame the kids. Blame the parents.
I see kids all the time in my work. There are some well controlled 3-year-olds. There are some out of control 10-year-olds. I can pretty much figure out how the kid will be based on the interaction b/c the parent and the kid.
