Default Why do people have hair?

Can anyone give me a reason for body hair? What does the body utilize it for? I can understand eye lashes and eye brows cause they help protect our eyes. Nose hair helps filter air you breathe. Maybe the hair on our heads protects from cold. Why the leg hair? Why the armpit hair? Does anyone have an answer to this?

If you believe in evolution, the answer is simple. It's a leftover....

As for hair on the head, not only does it help to keep you warm, but helps prevent sunburn (I should know).

I believe that the arm/leg hair also provided protection against critters, like mosquitos... Just a guess.

When I was seeing a surgeon for my infected finger late last year, he told me that fingernails and toenails are totally useless, a sort of evolutionary screwup, and something we would be better off without. (But then how would one pick one's nose?)
