Will the declining price of the S2k ruin s2ki.com?

Has anyone else noticed the downward spiral some sections of this forum have taken over the years?

Street Kills perhaps exemplifies this trend more than any other section. Of course the kills section has always had its share of questionable and well

I think a little longer than that but some discussions still have great, intelligent debate.

You will always have a few guyz dat speLL LIKE dIs and say wazzup BIZNITCHES, because I am guessing they both take, and sell drugs and can therefore afford to drive what they want. That or they steal one. Keeping prices above $15k for a while keeps the great moron masses out. That gives you a couple years at least.

By the way, shouldn't the spelling be "Street Killz"?

Anyway, you would think this is a MENSA gathering if you surf a couple other boards for some other cars.

Theres no stopping it but go take a peek over at SRT4 forums. I think we have a long way to go before it gets that bad.

It's definitely gotten a lot worse compared to the beginnings of this board, but I agree that we have a long way to go before it gets as bad as a lot of other car boards.

Myself and others have noticed it as well in my area...seems like the old gang is slowly fading away and being replaced by....

hey, let's go out and do spinouts in intersections....

I give this current state 1 year before we lose most of the old guard...including myself...

Our community has definitely recognised it but I think that our smaller size doesn't accomodate for the fanboi crowd and everyone seems to be relatively mature irrespective of their age.

I've noticed it around the other forums though and I pretty much stick to Aust, OT and the gallery because of it.

Hell even the gallery turns a lot but IMO that's more of the elitists that feel the need to force their opinion on how people mod their cars. At least even the fanboi crowd have enough respect to give someone props for loving their car their way.

[QUOTE=steve c,Jun 2 2005, 03:34 PM] So, my question, and not to sound elitist (which I am)

Sounds like it time for all of us to go out and buy Boxsters - Steve, you bring the wine, I'll bring the cheese.

Anytime now. I used to own an RSX Type S, and even when that car was brand new, the site was full of kids (I'm young myself, 21 now-- but relatively mature )-- really degraded the whole experience.

S2KI is still pretty professional. It helps that this site censors foul language (not that any of us don't use it-- we all do, it's just nice to see a bit of professionalism)

You get a lot of close-minded idiots in Mensa too, believe me.

If we're lucky, the 'fo shizzle mo snizzle' crowd will find a new trendy car and go away.

There's still a lot of useful info to be found here, and I always follow the illiterate/incomprehensible threads in the hope that Steve C will jump in with one of his diplomatic comments
