I heard a news story promo saying there were some privacy issues with XP but missed the broadcast. I really, really dislike Windows ME intensely. My computer crashes all the time and had a major one this weekend losing everything. I'm definitely looking for an upgrade of some sort but worry about the newness of this program.

All CDs have this feature. It's one of the keypoints of XP, to reduce piracy. (Unless your CD is an illegal copy with that feature taken out. I'm sure somebody has probably cracked it already!

I am running 2000 at home and my computer runs for months without a reboot and I gave heavily on it. If XP will run like Win2k then get it people, it's very stable. I am not exaggerating, MONTHS.

I'm shopping a notebook now and it sounds like 2000 might be the way to go. Don't think I want to experiment with a new format.
