winter driving w/ S, help~
can someone give me some suggestions on winter driving w/ the S? or anything i should know or do or not do? i don't want to crash my S less that in less than a yr owning it. this is my 1st winter driving the S and manual trans. my previous car was a 4WD automatic. I've yokahoma snow tires on stock wheels.
What do i do if i feel my car is gonna spin or starting to spin?
What kind of modulation of clutch & throttle i need?
it's scary to make turn on snowy road....
i've tried driving my S out these few days, the streets are packed w/ snow, the roads are fine. I noticed that sudden acceleration will make the front glide or slide side way (is it called fish tailing?).
anyway, pls help me~ i want my S live through the winter and have fun in the summer. I love my S and i dun want to change bak to AWD sendan or TT or FWD cars b/c of winter. Pls don't tell me to get a beater car, i can't afford one since i bought the S and i would rather do mods w/ the money.
thank you !!

I'm coming from awd as well. First off make sure you have the best snow tires you can get.
Go slower, be very very smooth with your inputs. Don't stop the gas.
Try to keep the car in the highest gear you can without stalling it. I.E. 25mph in 4th. That way small changes in your gas really are small changes. Less room for error.
Go to an empty unplowed parking lot at 3am and have some fun learn what happens for yourself when you start to slide out.
RWD with no traction control or ESP is hard, but it can be fun
