Default Wireless Internet. Free-for-all.

All my neighbors are hopping on my internet and no one knows how to put a password on the darn thing. My girlfriends, brothers, friend (duhh) put it on and has no clue how to protect it. Since this is off topic, I thought I might ask and see if anyone can help.
I am not computer literate so please don't flame me. He did it, not me .
Thanks.

Go to your router settings, and look for something called WEP. It usually comes in 64 bit or 128bit settings. You just need to select a key to use (usually 4 choices), and either type in a word, or set for hexadecimal (which is 8 characters or 16 characters, but can only use 0-9 and A-F). Once you set it in your router, you'll need to set the same WEP settings in all the adapters that you use, otherwise you'll be locked out of your own wireless internet.

Not exactly specifics, but hopefully it helps

Do the following on the access point:

Turn on WEP Encryption
Turn off SSID Broadcast
Turn on MAC Address Filtering and enter the MAC addresses of everyone that is allowed access to the network.

That's about as secure as WiFi gets without going to the trouble of setting up an authentications system.

I checked google.com. Nice info on the product, but cant seem to find what I need on actual steps to protect my internet.
I hope I don't come off too stupid but, how do I get to the access point. I have never used wireless before so I am kind of blind to what's going on. I looked for the things mentioned but cant find them. I am using D-Link DI-614+. It says connect LNE100TX(v5)
If its too much trouble then don't worry. I just thought it might be an easy fix.
Thanks again.

You want to telnet into your router (or, to make the whole process a little easier, check the manual for the base address and type it into your browser. Typically it is something like 192.168.1.1). A menu should pop up that gives you different configuration options.
