It's nearly as bad as the finance guys always trying to sell you the extendo warranty while buying a new car. I told the guy when I bought my S "if something breaks after 36,000 miles, I'll fix it myself". He laughed and said "whatever kid". I wanted to punch the ass.

The only time I've ever opted for the service plan was for my Ipod. It's on the third free battery replacement.

I worked at bb for several months and left for numerous reason's
1. Did not care about a class schudele (had to miss work numerous time because i was in class and wasn't going to f up in school for $7/hour
2. when things got slow hours were cut to roughly 4 a week
3.got punched by my manager after he and customer got in fight (my own fault for trying to break it up)

one good thing are the discounts especially the audio, you can make some extra cash by buying for friends and others example $100 pair of speakers is apprx $50/60 employee price sell to friends for 75 everyone wins

Okay, come on, you can't write that and not give us the details. By the way did you work at the rock road Best Buy? I once witnessed a fight between an employee, a customer and the security guy at the front.

I tried out Best Buy for a little while...worst job of my life...its all a scam...best buy is a modern day natzi camp with their weekly 7 AM meetings...The team leaders basically tell you to lie or do whatever it takes to sell these Entertainment Weekly/Sports Illustrated magazine subscriptions and service plans...WARNING, dont buy the bullsh*t...you have to swipe your credit card just to get the damn magazines, and they claim if you cancel it within 30 days you wont get charged...well thats a load of crap, you do get charged...On their busiest day of the year, they complained to me about not selling their scams (mgazines and Service Plans) so i just told them to F*** off and walked out the door...never felt better...Deffinitly, worst job of my life.

Worked there for 2 days... Quit right after. I cant stand retail anymore, I had a AWESOME job at CompUSA where they actually trained you to be knowledgeable about the products you sell.

BB payed me 9 an hr which isnt so bad for retail but I just got tired of selling stupid ass service plans and dealing with dumbshit customers.

Ok the punch thing, I was in on my day off of all things went in to check what four hours i would be working the next week. I was at a register, the manager and acustomer were bickering about something then started yelling about something (probley a extra protect plan) then started shoving some ohter people and i tried to seperate them, a few punches were thrown then they were broken up and the cops were called. THis was at the mid rivers store. The manager was named kevin and was placed on leave for a couple of weeks. He was later fired for other things. I had another manager get tossed out for sexual harrasing and stalking an employee.

Good call on the Ipod service plan... I have gone through 5 of em... Sigh

But bestbuy is the biggest f'in scam ever. Those service plans are a joke. The staff is full of tards. The girls are not hot. I work in a Ruby Tuesdays. That is the way to go. Awesome guys. Great managment. HOT HOT HOT girls. My mom and I had bought a computer from bestbuy when they first came out. They ended up selling us all this extra stuff. I was just getting into computers again. My mom still blames me for making her pay an extra 1200. I agree I got suckered. Never again though.
