Im 21, and I just came up with this question randomly sorta. There are quite a few girls who are single with children, and I thought I would see if the people here would date, or be in a relationship with a girl, who had a child from a previous. Imagine you were under 25 for this poll. Personally, I dont know if I would or not, its definitely an odd spot to be in.

 

Almost always no. I dated a girl with a kid when i was 19. I love kids, and didn't have a problem with the child but if you get attached then the breakup is 1000x harder on everyone. I loved taking care of the kid, wish that I could see the kid still but that's hard on the mom because she was always wanting to get back together.

 

I voted no because I don't want kids at all. If I did want kids, it would be a "depends" vote. Is the father involved in the kid's life? How old is the kid? (Will have a factor in if they bond with you or not) etc

 

I did this. I was 20 and dated a girl who had a kid. She was a nice girl and all but I had to end it. So I will have to go with no. The relationship was more about her kid than it was us and I pretty much became more of a baby holder. Never any real alone time and such and she wont really be able to dedicate herself to you since she has priorities.


Being that young theres no reason you cant find a woman without a kid...

I voted "no" since I really dont want kinda either. I'm only 19 and I might change my mind later on, but even at 25 I think I would much rather do the work myself, and have my own kid with a girl.

 

if the dating was just a booty call every once in a while then sure, but seriously date...f**k no! i'm 28 and just coming around to the idea of kids with my wife. there is no way in hell i would want anything to do with a kid if i was 25 or younger.

 

I'm 33 and still wouldn't date a girl with a kid. Sorry, I don't want an insta-family.

 

I prefer kids to whom I have contributed half the DNA. Voted no.

 

I had thought about it and even had a very small fling with a 24yr old mom when I was 25, but the baggage with the kids dad was fuggin annoying. I think she hadn't fully let him go yet, ya know. The nookie was ok though
