would you / could you "gut" a deer?

I am a meat eater and love the taste of dead animals. But I always used to tell the "hunters" I worked with to kill it with your bare hands...THEN I'll be impressed. With guns, bows, the front ends of your trucks, etc., the game is clearly at a disadvantage.
But like I said, meat tastes good.

(Deer tastes nothing like chicken)

I don't see an issue with killing an animal like a deer as long as you eat it and dont just kill it as a trophy. Killing a deer and gutting it is in no way a problem for me.
As played out as it sounds, deer are extremely overpopulated in many areas and have almost no natural predators. Hunting helps to thin the population a little bit and is somewhat of a necessity... Plus its fun and its a good getaway for a few hours.
I'm not from Alabama so don't even start with the stereotypes.

I eat meat, chicken, turkey, etc..... so this wasn't supposed to be a "don't hunt" thread...... more like a "that's gross sticking your hand inside a dead animal" thread.
Think of it more like "harvesting" the deer instead of hunting it. There really is no sport to it, espcecially not with firearms. Maybe with a bow, but much. If there weren't any hunting, the deer would die horrible deaths by starvation or disease over the winter, and there would be a whole lot more deer/vehicle encounters.
