How good do you guys think the American team would be if we focused the same amount of energy into soccer as we do baseball / basketball / football?
No cracks about the Mens basketball loosing, but seriously I think we would be top 3 in the world, at a sport that everyone in the world plays fanatically.

It's hard to be the best at everything all the time. It's even harder to stay the best. Even the current US men's basketball team is not the best in the world.
That being said, I've really enjoyed watching the Iraqi soccer team compete in this Olympics.
I too was initially excited to hear about the Iraqi soccer team. . . until I started reading some of their comments about the United States. These ungrateful little bitches were complaining about the current situation in Iraq, and blaming the United States for fighting in Najaf. One player was quoted as saying that if he were back in Iraq, he'd be fighting the Marines himself. OK, you know, I can understand some criticism of the situation, but these ungrateful bastards would have faced jail, torture, or death if they came back to Iraq without a medal, under the old Uday-run system. The United States is pretty much the only reason these assholes aren't in some godforsaken Iraqi jail for losing a qualifier. Ridiculous, if you ask me.
Screw them.

Oh wait! You said Iraq?
I'm also multi, but I cheer for the Bush's dictatorship country.
