how many buddist monks do you know? the ones i've meet are all superstitious idiots if u ever get into any deep discussion w them.

 

I used to know quite a few, from Asia. Some of them may be superstitious, but they are very kind and peaceful, much more so than other religious monks/priests.

I'm not Buddhist. Actually, I came from a hardcore Catholic family. They still are. But I've abandoned it because I lost faith; they weren't too happy about it.

I gave God plenty of warnings before my abandonment. Every night, I prayed to him and his Son to put a few million dollars under my pillow, but each morning I woke up, I found none. So I finally gave up and lost faith. I'm going to hell for that one, but who cares, I don't believe in heaven and hell anyway.

 

Can't we all live in the pure state of Zen?
