WRX pricing... now where it belongs!
As predicted, WRX's now seem to be available for typical Subaru "invoice plus $300" pricing, making it a great deal for a sporty utility wagon at $22K. At $26K that dealers where getting initially (or $28K with the ridiculously expensive Subaru/BBS optional wheels), it starts pushing into territory that would likely have me opting for a 325XiT or A4 Avant for a few thousand more. So much more car, even if it doesn't offer the boy-racer acceleration.
I would never have it as an alternative to a real roadster or sports car, but with the end of full MSRP and added dealer markups, it makes a great winter car that will still tow my motorycle trailer. Still feels oh-so-cheesy on the inside and kind of fugly on the outside though.

Whenever I stop the subaru dealer around here for servicing they always have a half dozen WRXs out front at MSRP wagons and sedans. Thats been since the summer too. They did have some obnoxiously painted yellow one with a huge logo and stars up the sides. It was an ugly yellow though, like a cream corn puke kinda a color.
