Jeez, Tysons corner throws in the towel because Tyson didn't want to fight anymore. Looks like he is retiring. but was utter BS. Making excuses and that he only did the fight for the $$$. Blah

 

that sucks for people who paid to watch live or pay per view. how long did the fight last?? guess tyson wanted to avoid getting knocked out again...

 

he quit in the 6th. i feel sorry for him, he had his millions squandered away and had poor management, and had very poor life decisions which has left him in his current situation.
truly sad, he could have been one of the greatest, and to think, if he had just gotten a hooker instead of raping that girl, then he would be in the boxing hall of fame

 

Damn, guess all that talk about him being in the best shape of his life etc. etc. was all bogus. Poor Fenech too, I bet this reflects on him somewhat as a trainer.

i agree, 20 years ago he was great but it's time to retire as he even stated he was there for the "paycheck"

now the only reason he got paid is because people paid to watch him fight. who's the real fool

one thing i didn't enjoy was how the annoucers didn't give McBride any credit at all - they all though it would be over in the first round

 

actually, nowadays, people watch him not merely for his fight, but also for the unexpected wacky things he does. now correct me if i'm wrong, but quiting a fight after 6 rounds, when he was supposedly winning, qualifies to be "wacky" to me.

 

The newspaper said Tyson headbutted McBride and also attempted to break his arm at some point in the 6th round before giving up. Desperate and Lame!

It is too bad people took him (Tyson) to the cleaners $. It happens a lot to guys who make big $, but have no idea how to manage it. (MC Hammer, the Spinx Brothers, Icky Woods, etc.....). They all think they are going to be making Millions forever. doh!

There is not "boxing" pension like f'ing OJ gets from the NFL, so Iron Mike will be sweeping the ice after the Red Wings games if he can get in line in time.
