I totally can relate to this...
A friend and I had the same thing happen to us.
just driving on the freeway ready to exit when a older toyota cam pulled up next to us shot at us. The bullet grazed my friends shoulder and we found the bullet lodged in the pillar right behind me. He thought he was hit bad, we pulled up to his house, called the police.
we were doing nothing to instigate anyone/anything.
the detectives told us that certain gangs try to commit shootings to up their rep.
My friend still has the bullet and the scar to prove this sort of thing happens.
