progressive is 60fps though, right? I believe the TV CONTENT is 30 but the scan rate is 60. I know they have to do 60 if they accept VGA or DVI (and thus HDMI)signals.
I think he meant TVs update content on the screen at 60hz.. I.e. an LCD refreshes the picture 60 times/second. Content encoded with 24fps will use the 232323 (3:2/2:3 pulldown) method to display this.
