I am going to do some hardcorp research on this subject today.

I ended up buying my 5th PS2 in 4 years. My last one died a natural death VS my destroying it. In anycase I went down to my local Gamestop and was looking at the Xbox360s and they looked cool. Then I looked at coming systems and this is what shocked me.

It said on the wall (I think its a mistake, but I will do some research) PS3 coming late Summer of 06. I knew that. Then I saw Xbox3 which was coming Dec 06 which supposedly is the system to compete with the PS3? I thought that was fishy because didnt the Xbox360 just come out? Then I inquired about this system and the store told me that the Xbox360 is a temporary system, kinda "in the meantime" system. I thought that was odd. But never the less I am going to do some research today and see what I come up with. I thought it was even more funny that if this is true and Xbox3 is coming out in Dec of 06 a lot of people wasted their time and money trying to get the Xbox3..

Well initial search, came up with nothing. Xbox2 = Xbox360. I am still looking for Xbox3.

Damn that would suck, i guess from a business point of view microsoft was pretty smart and is going to cash out nicely with the Xbox 360 this year, and the X box3 next year, unless everyone gets pissed off and doesnt buy it.

 

I agree with you. I honestly dont think a new Xbox3 is coming out but its not to say it cant happen. Time will tell.

 

You guys are nuts! There's no way they are already coming out with a new system having just spent all the money designing the Xbox 360. They haven't even sold 1 million yet. They may update it eventually with a new type of drive but, they still need to recover their R&D costs.

Xbox 3 sign = defective Xbox 360 sign.
