I work with a gentleman whose surname is Yamazaki, and recently learned of Yamazaki single malt whisky (12-year and 18-year). If it's decent, I'd like to buy him a bottle.

Has anyone here tried it? If so, what do you think?

Haven't tried it but all the reviews are very positive. $50 for the 12 yo is not bad.

 

I had the 12 year, it was tasty but ultimately unremarkable, but I'm firmly in the bourbon camp, so there's that.

 

Then come up to WTD in April and join in our bourbon tasting!

 

Have never heard of Yamazaki but now I'm impatiently waiting to hear from someone who's actually tried it.

 

What is this? Tell me more!
