Bravo to the grand jury for having the balls to indict this psycho bitch. She's no stranger to a jail cell, but maybe a longer stint this time will help her get it together. Here's hoping they go after every cent she cost the authorities, not just the bare minimum for overtime and so forth. And if that guy still ends up marrying this whackjob he should be punished too, if only on principle and for whatever deterrent effect it might have.

Aw c'mon, the guy's already punished himself.... he's some sort of "born again virgin" or some crap like that. Call it "born again abstinent" or something else because when it comes to being a virgin, either you are or you aren't.

Wow, I hadn't read he was someone who bought into that B.S. Well, that just means he's even more f'd up then I first thought, or maybe this was just a clever way he found to hold off having to pork that skeezer. Maybe her parents have money and he's just waiting around for the inheritance to drop..., guess we need more facts.

She rightfully needs to be locked up, and have the financial damage she caused repayed. The DA is 100% correct in this case that apologizing doesn't make it any less severe.

I wonder if she'll be the "bride" in prison, too?

you guys are way too harsh. what she did was wrong.. but to go to jail for it? i say just make her pay her share and forget about it...

nothing wrong with people who are "born again virgins" if more people followed that, maybe the divorce rate or teen pregnancy would go down...

I really don't think it will go that far. She'll probably cut a deal, pay restitution, do some community service, go in for a mandated eye job to fix those things, but I doubt she'll actually do time. If one of the cops or volunteers got injured or died while participating in the charade she caused, I might think and wish differently.

As to the whole "born again" or "virgin vows" thing, all I've ever read is that it's a complete sham and a failure. Someone else can look up the statistics if they want, but if the vow to remain abstinent isn't completely blown off it's instead rationalized, as in "I'm abstinent because all I do is have tons of anal and oral sex". True, that may cut down on pregnancies, but it does absolutely nothing about disease, divorce rates, and fidelity. It merely stretches the definition of what is or isn't "sex" to goofy lengths so that the "virgin" doesn't feel hypocritical.
