I have a WRX and I don't mind the body styling at all. Then again, I've been reading up on the car a lot and its grown on me...
From what I've heard the EVO VII will have less hp/tq than whats in Japan. I've heard that the Japanese version is somewhere between 276 and 280. I'm sure once those come to America the tuners are going to go crazy and the numbers are sure to fly...Just take a look at how the tuner world for the WRX is right now. There's so many products to choose from.

This version would defintely out run a lot of cars.
Anyone please correct me, if I am wrong. I was watching some Taiwanese magazine editor interview Mine's factory for STi and EVO VII comparison. The head engineer from Mine's were saying. stock to stock, EVO VII is a much better car. It does not cost much to add HP to a EVO VII. But, STi need lots of mod to get to EVO VII.
Is it true?
My local dealer keeps telling me that EVO VII is coming. It will not have any detune version. He claimed that Mistu is going to bring 1600 units in to US. So, they are pretty limited.

Yes, the EVO 7 absolutely killed the STi around any race track. In the quarter mile it was almost a full second faster (did it in 12.9s right out of the box!). That's why Subaru got its act together with the Spec C. What Takashi didn't mention is that they stripped every unnecessary piece of weight out of the car, including the fog light covers, the HID lights (normal ones weigh less) and the trunk spoiler. I think they also went to thinner glass on the car, too.
Bring on the EVO 8!
Bring on the EVO 8!
