I am sure there are a lot of beer drinkers out there, but does anyone make their own? I worked at a brewpub a few months back and they encouraged the employees to try homebrewing. I started back in November with a simple APA and haven

I used to be "Malt Bitch" and "Cleaning Wench" in college. When I gave it a crack, I actually did a top-fermenting red. Tasty stuff.

I'ved used the super-cheap Beer Machine a couple of times. Worked great but we don't have room in the fridge for it.

I have been all-grain brewing for about 5 years, and extract brewing for several years before that. My favorites to brew are Belgian Strong Goldens/Trippels, Imperial Stouts, IPAs, and hefe.

My first brew ever was an all-grain (ingredients from the brewery were free). It came out well, but it took me ~5 hours from start to finish, and I haven't put aside that much time in a while to do another. The rest have been extract brews from which I have had great success.

I live in Utah, I have to homebrew to get beer stronger than 3.2% alcohol for less than 2 bucks a bottle.

I love it! Beer turns out great and you have the freedom to make whatever you want. I do both all grain and extract, prefer the extract for simplicity and time, but if I do a real heavy IPA it's got to be all grain.
