George - the 17" PB at Frys in Renton was 2299 yesterday... (it was a refurb)

Went to CompUSA today to play with all the Mac's, I'm kind of attracted to the 12" inch PB and the 15 or 17 inch iMac. The 17" PB has a beautiful screen, but it is also preeeeeeetty big (and expensive), but if my parents budge on that, I'll take it 15 inch does not really attract me as much as the others.

I wouldn't worry about the refurb - one word - AppleCare!

Maybe a 12" with a separate monitor?

Exactly what I was thinking, with my specifications the PB 12"+17 inch studio display costs 500-600 less. But the 17 inch is more powerful and less hot.
