Lack of respect, that's what's wrong with kids these days... they don't respect anyone. And their parents make it worse, sue this sue that... I can remember when I was in middle school... I brought homes forms for approval for punishment... my folks were like "why do I need to sign this? this should be manditory". Abuse is one thing, but teaching kids to behave is another. You can barely look at your kids today before someone out there thinks that they know how to raise your own kids better than you do. It's really sad... And these "scientists" that do "studies"... boy they are another breed.

Screw that, I don't have kids yet but I do remember being punished by my Father.....I never even DARED thinking that I'd tell on my Dad. The supreme being to me at the time was my Dad.

If nothing else, "true" punishment taught me to give and show respect, and if I had a disagreement I managed and communicated it in respect.

To this day everyday at my job, I think about how my Father raised me. Every meeting I goto, I always see people that are almost twice my age that act like spoiled little kids....not knowing how to handle politics in the work place <---Trying to say that I know where the kids these days get it from.

I wish I could bring a switch or an extra belt to work...hehehehe

I had a 12 year old stick his pimply little face within inches of mine and ask me "what are you going to do about it" when i questioned him about why he was in my yard...of course he didn't live in my neighborhood and wouldn't tell me where he lived......

then he told some lies to his buddy's (lives in my neighborhood) parents who then attempt to make me look bad... "we called his parents to warn them about you".

I hoped like hell his parents would come see me, but... no luck.....maybe the parents knew the kid was looking for a mouth full of DOVE!

Ya like the taste of soap kid???
