6ULR picture thread
I don't really care for them, I'm sure these new wheels with the right offset ride awesome. As for looks BIG 2 thumbs down, no lip, not concave, unattractive design,. I prefer the stocks of any AP1/AP2 year over this. They must ROCK on the track though.
^ I checked out your site a while back & the Miata wheels on there are hot! I was hoping they'd turn out the same as far as looks go. They look more aggressive on the Miata than the S2. Congrats on the new record & wins that your wheels helped achieve.
The s2000's high offset makes it hard to get a decent sized lip on any wheel.
When I look at the 6ulr's I think they look incredible because I think of the function behind them.
I've always been a function over form guy tho

Impossible to make a concave wheel with lip when the big brake kits we need to clear are about the same offset as the end of the wheel stud, while still trying to get the big tire under the fender lip. They look the way they do for a reason. Being a race wheel, the wheel stiffness, tire clearance and brake clearance come first.
Add a wide body and you can put big VIP wheels on it if that's your taste. But thanks for your invaluable input in this pictures thread.
And yes, they do rock on the track. We had two different drivers winning events, and one lap record the day after the container of wheels arrived here in the states.

Wheel color: charcoal
Front: 17x9 +48
Rear: 17x9 +48
Front tire: 255/40-17 RS-3
Rear tire: 255/40-17 RS-3
Spacers: nope
Car's color code: 2004 Black
Suspension: Eibach pro-kits on stock shocks
European spec alignment
Front fenders ghetto rolled (aka bat)
Rear fenders ghetto rolled (aka bat) and tab relocation
Sorry for the big pictures, figured that was more helpful than crappy smaller ones

and yes, my front bumper is bloody dirty. it's so rock chipped that I gave up cleaning it.

17x9 +63, 255 R-S3's:
Thanks to a lady in a Nissan Sentra:

One month later:

...So how many people had to hammer their inner structure to gain clearance? I thought I wouldn't need to once I put on my V3's, but after a go-kart track day (think auto-x lapping day), I've worn a fair amount of the fender liner away and there is bare metal exposed. I will probably pound out some clearance this weekend, just wondering if everyone deals with this, or am I too low? I'm hesitant to raise the car because I like the stance

There's a bunch of photos at the link below showing inner fender area. This was primarily caused by too much rebound in the front shocks causing jack down when taking bumpy sweepers during autocross. The front springs are 750# and it's lowered about 0.75 in. I also increased the compression setting. It's rare that contact is made now. The tires are 255/40R17 R-S3s. Camber is at -2.3.
You like the "stance" but how is the car working? Raising your front spring rates may help, but you also have to have the right shock/settings to go with that.

If your setup is what it takes to not have contact, I don't think that'll work for me unfortunately. From what I've read, KW V3's can handle at most ~600 lbs. On the red car, I had pretty much the same setup with the addition of a Saner bar and was seeing the same type of wear at a slightly higher ride height. I thought with stiffer springs this would become a none-issue; it was happening on stock suspension w/255's. I guess my springs aren't stiff enough, but my car spends most of it's life commuting and cruising around so I can't get too crazy w/spring rates...
