Offical VOLK Racing Wheel Thread!
sorry but ive heard enough of this shit man, i dont know anyone in the southern section of my state who has the same wheels as me so how can they be "played out" theres not a million wheel choices out there you know....of course your gonna see them all over the internet but in real life youll barely see a set on ce28's, especially on a s2000
who really cares how many people have them anyway? at least people are spending the money for quality wheels

True, I won't agrue that with you. But the fact is both are great looking wheels for the s2k. I'm tired of seeing all these whack setups people run just so they can be different. I have no problem going to meet and seeing 5 others with CE28s b/c the likelihood of their entire car being exactly the same as mine is slim. And at the end of the day I have them b/c it's what I like not what everyone else says is cool.
And just so that I'm not rambling on here are my CE28s I'm waiting to put on. I can't think of anyone else on the forum right know with this exact size/offset/color. 17x9 +40 Mercury Silver. I'm pretty sure these wheels have been whored out and owned by at least 3 or 4 people on the west coast before ending up with the guy I bought them from on the east coast.

Do you need to roll fender with 17x9 +40 all around?

To get concave in a 17 you're going to have to go 9.5 +35 or 10 +45. You already know NFR's setup so I'll speak about the 10 +45, with a 255, it really wouldn't be that bad, you'd want to roll flat with a ~5mm pull in the rear, and in the front you'd probably want a pretty good roll with a flare or stretch a 245.
Either NFR's or this setup really wouldn't be that bad, but if you want the functional but aggressive look be prepared for work. You WILL have to play around with what works for your setup, especially since tires run differently depending on which ones they are.

As far as overall sizing, go check out http://www.willtheyfit.com/
You can enter tire sizes and everything, and it'll show you how 2 different setups will compare.

The bolt pattern on my STi was the same as the S2K's 5X114.3. But I think the 18 might look too big, maybe I'll try them one day and see what they look like. The 17X9 +40 doesn't look bad at all, would a 17X9.5 +47 that was mentioned require less work to fit as well? I am thinking yes since the offset is higher and more wheel would fit under the car. I think if just a fender roll is required to go with the 17X9 +40 I may go that route. Lots of options to think about...
My bad, had a brain fart and for some reason was thinking subie's were 5x120.

Mainly just keep in mind tire sizes. That's all I'll say for now since this is the gallery, and we should be posting pics. PM me if you have any more questions

Yes, we've seen this wheel done in all sizes and offsets and it always looks good. A classy wheel is a classy wheel and we should expect it to be done over and over again, however, choosing a tire size, width, and offset that compliments your car is what will set it apart from all the others.
