Mathematically speaking, a total of 20mm less tire width should give you 10mm additional fender clearance. Since the diameter will be slightly larger then you are probably looking at 7-8mm extra clearance, just an estimate though as different tire brands/models/sizes can vary.

Now, whether that is a tire you should run is an entirely different discussion. I know hellaflush guys run tires stretched like that, but a 265 tire on a 11.5 wheel is just too narrow for me.

Side note, if you have decent tread on those 285's and want to get rid of them then I might be interested.

Just curious if anyone here is running 9" barrels? I have 1" clearance and was just wondering if I'll clear once the car is down from the jack stands. I will NOT be cambering the rears so no fear of it going 1" inwards. However, I still want imputs from those who's ran it. Also, my other fear is I know people have ran 12" in the fronts before but had to be like -4 in order to clear. I dont want any negative camber at all if I can help it. Will these 11" work in the front? I'm really trying to avoid rebuilding them but will if I have to.

Here is my setup. Let me know if anything throws a red flag.

I'm looking for (4) CCW 18" outer lips x 3.5" wide to beat seat.

Looking to replace (4) same in1.5" wide to bead seat if someone mighty be looking to make a wide set narrower. Nothing wrong with them just trying to have 2" wider wheels
