well it depends, if you're running oem calipers, youre going to get even wear because it's a one piston design. If you have spoon calipers, it eliminates that because the caliper is 4 piston,

No, as in the rotor doesnt contact the entire pad surface. So there is a chunk of pad material that isnt in contact with the rotor.......this is what i've heard at least...

This is true! I can confirm this. The outter edge of the pads overlaps the outer edge of the rotors. At first I thought my pads were sticking, I resurfaced the pads but the overlapping occurred again and my pads ended up cracking. I drove to Ballade back in 2017 and asked Alex if this was normal for the pads to overlap and he admits to knowing of this issue. Claims that it’s fine. If I had known this I would have never bought them. But the kit was able to help clear my wheel specs and calipers until I find another resolution.

Sorry, I might of thought one of the pads had a crack at the time but I’m not sure? probably was just mad about the overlapping. Here’s some photos.

I took my pads and trimmed the ears on one set. It’s the oem ones that was still at 7mm. Trimming the ears and made sure it contacts the entire pad and rotor. So far no rattles. If I find no problems in a kit 500 miles, I’ll do it to the new pads to be instslled

So what's the cause of the pad overlap? Is the balladesport bracket not designed correctly?
