This isn't really a "vehicle wrap" but thought I'd post it anyways. The previous owners and passengers clearly liked putting the seats all the way back so instead of respraying them I just put some 3M vinyl over the seat back covers.

Nice idea, where did you get the vinyl wrap from?

make sure you get the Primer as well, something that I overlooked.

I've built race cars, never did we waste time or money on some useless BS marketing device, sure we had the company name on the side but thats it, not an entire car. Ever seen the worlds most powerful 350Z? 1016whp and runs 8.80's, I helped with that one I've also done countless Evo's, & VW's (don't ask ). The only legit race cars in your post is the AMG and the R1 car. The R8 "race" car you posted isn't even a race car, its an R8 that some vinyl film layers did in record time to get sales or notariety or who knows what for, they had too much time on their hands Before you try and call someone out you should do a little hw so you dont post

Drift cars are not race cars, the rest in your post are for show. Big money race cars have to do what their big money sponsors want them to do, otherwise do you think they would waste any time on doing some wrap? I don't think so. ASM doesn't count, we all know they are eccentric about everything
vinyl is lighter, and generally quicker on application (on both changing colors and placing colors)
time is money and racing has alot to do with money.

u probably had to tow the car to the paint booth and bring it back to the shop. because rarely race teams will have their own paint booths with their garages. that's even more time and more labor.

anyways, enough with me arguing with a newb mechanic lol
here are some more pics for you guys

Jun 18, 2009 – The vehicle body panels will be covered in vinyl film instead of paint for a noticeable weight reduction thus achieving fuel savings and faster laps. Several tests were carried out in 2008 and 2009 with the results pointing in that direction.

This is my car. I do wraps all the time. My own car is wrapped with matte white. LMK if anyone has any questions... I'd be down to fly out to you to wrap your car for a way smaller amount than what people are charging...

Some pics of the process...

i plan on wrapping my car. I looked at ordering my wrap from stickercity.com. It seems it will cost about 1000 dollars for all the wrap and tools and if you do it yourself with a buddy the labor is free
