LOL how old are you all mighty? I'm 24 just because it's cheaper doesn't mean it's ghetto .... there will come a point in life where you will start to look at the practical side of modding....or life in general. Oh yeah, and it's called a HOBBY...people forget that sometimes it's supposed to be FUN so my question to you is

WHY SO SERIOUS?

i'm sure there are plenty of reasons you want your car to look premiered, not knocking anyone's taste, but now kids are wrapping trunks flat black, and it really does look ghetto.

if you really like it then you don't take criticism seriously, right ?

Have a thought, if there is / are similar compounds that make up the chemistry of "paint" and "wrapped vinyl", (ie polymer based) then this wrapping is just a new technique for covering/protecting the bare metal from the elements. Maybe some of the painters/ chemists out there can sort this out, once and for all... the word "vinyl" has negative indications....

not really. it's a preference and u can't change preference.
I think getting a car painted is more ghetto than vinyl wrap. People always make up ridiculous names for paint colors and that's where all the hype is.

I like some of the cars that had been done, especially the black Porsche, I can't wait till they develop a high gloss or metallic vinyl for use in wrapping. That will change some haters stance....
