Attn: Engineers
Hey guys,
Just thought I would make a thread to see how many engineers we have in Ohio, and where you guys are working. I'm currently a senior at Miami University (in Oxford), but won't be graduating until December of this year. I'm trying to think of places in Ohio of where to apply, or even where to look for a co-op/internship for the summer. I'm an engineering management major, with a technical specialty in manufacturing engineering. If any of you work somewhere engineering related and wouldn't mind giving me contact information, I would greatly appreciate it. My hometown is Cincinnati, but I don't have to stay there.
I just wanted to check the S2000 community to see if anyone wanted to lend a hand to a future engineer.... with an S2000 of course
Thanks,
Kevin

We have quite a few engineers on this board, my background and degree are in Electrical Engineering.
As for a job, can't think of any place hiring, but then again I am not all that aware of engineering jobs anymore. I'd say your best bet would be to use the placement office at Miami.

Im in the same boat as you execpt im a sales and marketing double major and going to be graduating from UT
My best advice is to find industry specific job fairs or attend university held job fairs. UT holds a couple of them thoughout the year and its an easy way to get noticed, im not sure if Miami holds these or not but I would check into it. I would also consider maybe some industry trade shows that you could attend and network with people there.
Do you want to stay in Ohio after you graduate?

The Whistle Goes...
I've been a Manufacturing Engineer for years, except for the last few months since i've been promoted to Manufacturing Manager at Plastipak in Jackson Center. We have possible openings for Engineering interships, but you must have prior hands-on experience. You'll also spend most of your time on our production floor. If you want more detail, you can PM me.
