I'm visiting the Gun Shop today...hopefully I'll pick one that'll work well for me. I plan to attend the classes for a concealed carrying permit...not that I intend to take the gun everywhere with me...but the laws here in NC state you must keep your gun visible at all times unless you have a CCP. Too much to worry about.

Wish me luck.

At least you don't live in New York. you need a permit to buy a gun.

Yeah...we need a permit here too...you have to get a background check done and then go to the Sherriff's office and apply...no waiting period...which is nice.

Il has some of the dumbest laws (after California of course.)

There is absolutly NO concealed carry unless you are an LEO.

There is a waiting period for every purchase.

It is a joke to get a owner's ID card.

It's just silly how they do it here.

Well, crap, I just got a call. They couldn't do FFL my S&W 41 from this dealer in NC to my local dealer due to prior incident which they refused to discuss it with me. Now I am having to either cancel the order or have to find another dealer who could do FFL.

Does anyone have any idea? Rich? Do you know of anyone besides Vance's?

Is is new or used? Any gun shop in town should be able to go an FFl transfer. Blackwing, New Albany or the Powder Room.
