Did you ever get a chance to verify the low oil condition yourself?

If your car is under warranty they should check internally for the cause of the low oil (look at the rings and ring groove in the piston). If that can be proven as an internal problem, you shouldn't even have to pay for labor (if it's under warranty).

 

I think low oil thing was made up story from Immke.
