I really am sorry to hear this BJ.
If Marysville pulls through on this, I will take all my business to Marysville from now on. Because my last experience at Immke was just plain simple horrible.

Some people at Immke have really rubbed me the wrong way over the last couple years.

So, any idea what causes an engine to lose 3 quarts of oil?

BJ, sorry to hear about the motor woes.

It sounds like Marysville Honda is willing to work with you, though.
I agree with that 110%

No idea because I've checked my oil dipstick after services, after long drives, and every so often during hot days just to make sure this engine doesn't burn oil. I've relied on the dipstick level and the dash board oil pressure light to be my source of measurement, I'm sure the average driver uses the same source to monitor their oil levels. If my car burned 3 quarts of oil, it did it too suddenly that I didn't have a clue where it went before I could do anything about it and thus my engine is damaged. No check oil or check engine light illuminated during operation before or after the engine was damaged and shut down. After getting the car started again, still nothing on the dashboard and I get the knocking noise from the engine. The damage has already been done.

Something mechanically failed, some mechanism that is unrelated to how I am allowed to operate the car failed. If a product can be diagnosed to fail due to oil starvation, then should we as customers be responsible for low oil if we used what resources we had available to monitor the levels? Is it my fault that I operated the car in VTEC.

Honda Marysville has honored their word and has come through in helping out my situation with getting a new engine from honda. I will be responsible for labor which I agree to honor. I will not forget this! I will remember the people involved that has helped to catylize this to happen.

Especially big thanks for Ray and Scott for their PMs and asking if I needed any assistance to advocate for my behalf with Jeff from Marysville.

It's possible to have the car up and running this Saturday. Words cannot explain how happy I am. Seeing those route 26 pictures, I could only imagine how much I would have enjoyed that day with everyone. Can't wait to get my S2000 back on the road and start filming more videos.

P.S. I have an opportunity to upgrade my clutch now. Any suggestions?
