The F-1 thread

unfortunately, from what i understand, in '07, they are not only retaining the one tire rule, but also turning it into one tire mfg (which seems to be quite common in 4 wheel racing). i could be wrong with this one though.i also remember hearing somewhere that the original thoguht behind the one engine rule was so smaller teams could cut costs, but in reality, the R&D work has ended up costing more.
i like the old way better.. esepcially for qualifying... one shot.. set up the car for maximum speed for 1 lap. smaller fuel load, etc... these days, P1 doesn't hold the impact that it used to... in theory, a Minardi with low fuel load vs other teams with a full fuel load might be comparable, when in reality, it isn't.
ok..i'm done..
btw... this honda providing sato engines for '06 because of "public outcry" is bullshit... honda should be providing him odysseys so he could be there F1 crash test dummy... ffs..he's got plenty of experience doing it this year..

ok..now i'm really done

The second Honda-powered Formula 1 team being formed around Takuma Sato could be a duplicate of the works BAR squad, according to Autosport-Atlas.com.
If it does finalize its deal to race in 2006, the new team is now thought likely to run BAR

i still think sato shouldn't be allowed back into a race car.he has been reckless, and regardless of sponsorship money, etc... the bottom line is , he has shown that is dangerous on the track, and i think he will continue to be a liability in '06.
