I have a front plate - it is bolted securely to the front license bracket, which in turn sits in that little space on top of the spare tire. I'll pull it out when needed to fast-talk the arresting officer out of the ticket. LOTS of cars don't have front plate in Cincinnati - we're close to Indiana and Kentucky, neither of which require one. The stock bracket looks like an afterthought.

I have to agree with the statement about OHP. They ticketed my friend for not having a front plate, and a couple weeks ago pulled me over for going 68 in 65 going up I75. He wouldn't even show me his radar reading since that's what he clearly used. He said he was going to cite me, so I got extremely pissed and blew up at him, especially since he couldn't prove to me that I was speeding so he let me off with a warning after I threatened that he'll talk to my lawyer. But in response to the original question, so I don't run a front plate because it would be so darn ugly and out of place, plus it could affect cooling the way it blocks air.

I decided from the start to run a front plate. Didn't want another reason to be discussing my driving habits with the OHP. I did not, however, like the looks of the Ohio plate in the stock location. I talked to a few other owners that had done something similar, and this is what I came up with...

Well, I'm glad I've kept my plate on, since they finally caught me speeding! 42 in a 25 zone, but only an $86 ticket. I was expecting it to top $100 after the officer told me how fast I was going. Yeah, I was pretty oblivious that day. I had no clue how fast I was going and I wasn't paying attention to speed limits. I'm usually speeding, but I usually know it! Anyway, guilty as charged, so you won't get any stories out of me about how wrong it was, etc. No excuses. I'm gonna pay it.
Oh, and the officer was very polite and he liked the car. Said he thought it was a Z3 until after he got me pulled over. I didn't think about it at the time, but I should have responded, "Nah, it's faster than a Z3!!!"
