Hole in the soft top

Hole in the soft top
So I was cleaning my car yesterday and getting ready to put it away for the season (*sniffle* *tear*) and I noticed a tiny hole on the right side of the top, right above the passenger window where the soft top frame rubs up against the top. The other side is also starting to wear as well.
I have Honda Care. Car is still under warranty until January 2015. They are saying this isn't covered (and I guess its not, because its not mechanical).
Any advice on how to fix? Patch the hole? Fight for warranty service? Suggestions?

Keep pushing them, I got mine replaced when I had my 2006 and it did the same thing. I basically made the case that it is a known issue, I may have even sent links from S2ki. I think they had to have it approved by someone else, but all he did was show up and look at it and confirm there was a hole.
The other option is to put patches on the inside and have someone stitch the holes.
In any event I recommend upgrading the straps, as they are why the tops tear.
