Default Honda engine builders in OH f20 Experience?

Im considering having someone put my engine back together and back in the car. Im wondering if any shops here in ohio have experience building the f20 motor? Im pretty sure slomo in columbus has, I have heard good things and bad things about them. Can anyone whos had experience with them chime in? Or knows good shop to reccomend that has experince putting s2k engines together.

I know I could take it to a dealer but last time I took my s2k to ganley to do a clutch TSB they put some of the transmission bolts in the wrong places, longer bolts were in the shorter bolt designations right below the back of the head leaving them sticking out of the tranny 1 inch (I could only see this when I was pulling my engine and had it halfway out) You could not see them from just looking at the underside of it. (im not sure if Dave had working on the car or not) But leaves me with some concern of having a dealer do it. Also I expect a dealer to be alot more $$$$ then a private shop.

Im also considering Billman and Ballistic Motorsports in NH to do the work. If anyone has experience with those people feel free to chime in as well.

TIA

I personally know the staff at SloMo, and they do good work. Corey has an S2000 with a fully built motor, Vortech SC, and wet shot. His motor is bulletproof beyond belief. Also, you might want to consider IPS motorsports. They are no joke. They just built a 575whp 300ZX for one of my friends. They are responsible for most of the 500+ hp cars in the Columbus area.

Putting an engine together means assembing the engine, IE putting the head on the block etc.

In no way shape or forum did I bash Ganley, I Just shared the experince with them, I always got great prices from Jeff.

Ty,

Im looking for someone to maybe build (im doing some research if I really need to build an engine for my goals) , but for sure install an engine for me.

Any bad experiences with IPS? I have heard nothing but good about them, as most of my friends have had their car at IPS for something. Although Hondas aren't really their specialty, they do an excellent job on all of their cars from what I've seen. Go to a meet at Quaker Steak at Polaris just off 270. Any car there over 500whp has had work done at IPS.

If I was building an F20/22C there is only 2 guys I would trust

Larry Widmer @ Endyne (Texas)

Shawn Church @ Church Automotive (Cali)

..................Javier Gutierrez @ JG used to be highly regarded but his lead times are stupid long from what I last read
