in need of an inexpensive mod idea. I haven't done anything to the car since last summer so it's time for an upgrade. I've been reading up on the K&N FIPK intake and people seem to like them - and it fits the budget. Is it worth $300 just to sound faster?

Drive your S with the stock airbox cover off. That will give you an idea of the sound.

I've had the Comptech on mine for 10+ years, I say it's worth it

If you're willing to wait a couple months I'll sell you mine for 100 bucks. Getting the kraftwerks s/c won't have a need for the K&N FIPK anymore. And yes I paid the 273 dollars for the go-fast sound and it was worth it.

Sounds good - just let me know when you are ready to part with it. Thanks.
