You seem to volunteer to help everybody with everything! Don't you ever burn out?

I'm looking at;

Phase 1:
JVC HU; either a kd-avx33 or a kd-adv38. I'm leaning towards the 38.
Polk 6501s

Phase II
Amp - haven't decided which one. Recs?
Small sub - MAYBE

Tell me what you think about the JVC HUs......

JVC's nice , I lean towards Alpine and Pioneer for headunits. But JVC does have one of the only HD radios that doesn't need any add ons to be in HD and it's reasonable priced at $200... the new model polks just came out and they're awesome. New design , silk coned adjustable tweeter , liquid cooled tweeter so less chance of blowing them. Amp is your decision but decide if you want a sub first before you choose an amp or you'll be waisting tons of money.

Update on plans... I'm looking at an Eclipse 4100 amp. From what I read, I can use two channels for the 6501s and go mono on the other two for a sub, right?

To review the bidding;
JVC KD-ADV38
Polk 6501s
Eclipse 4100 amp
10" sub. I read somewhere about a guy who sold trunk side enclosures for S2000s but I can't seem to find the link again....?

So, do you run a sound shop or a web site that sells audio gear? I'm not sure about the forum rules on prices, etc..... if you can tell me here go ahead. PM me if you'd rather do that.

Since you're the expert between you and me, let me know if you know of a different combo that will work better.

Thanks as always for your generosity,

Pete

The first thing I want is keep the install clean.
- factory look for speakers
- single din JVC either the ones I mentioned above or maybe the one with NAV also
- I want my trunk for storage. I wouldn't mind using the tool well, but I want to be able to lift whatever's in there out to throw a flat tire in or to remove it quick and easy for autocrossing, etc...
- sub/amp - I haven't finished researching the mobile forum yet, but I want to explore around behind the seats, etc.... for alternate locations. I did see somewhere where a guy was making sub boxes for the side of the trunk... that didn't look bad, and I think I could still get a set of clubs back there.

I assume you already know what can go where. Most of the places I've seen amps and subs go either fill up the trunk or look stupid, like sticking out from one of the seats or behind the drivers seat (the guy said he was short so it didn't matter)
