Living without electricity
Well last night at 10:45pm the power went out.No hurricane ...tornado....high winds.....temps were in the low 70's so it wasn't high demand or "brown out"
JUST NO POWER
Becky is an avid collector of candles so we were the best lit house in the neighborhood for sure.
The kitchen smelled like "sugar cookies" master bath like "alpine woods" the great room like "peaches and cream" and the loft like "cotton candy"....Missy's choice
First call to AEP was met with ...."we'll get right on it" of course with no power there was no net,TV or enough light to read so we gave up hope at mid night and went to sleep
Honsetly thought by morning light we'd back to normal....but noooooooooo

Micky had me up at 6:45 to feed and walk him which is normal;thank God for daylight savings cause I could at least see
However the house was at 65 deg and dropping. Another call to AEP......."oh it will be 8:30-9 before it's ready"
Jump in the Accord and head to Tim Horton's for some coffee and muffins
On the way I see 3 AEP cherry pickers 1 AEP Van a Delaware city truck and 10 guys standing around looking up at a transformer.
Do they think it will fix itself ?

Back home we finish up and start getting ready for Mother's day @ Outback
Now it's noon and still no power 13+ hours later
Good thing we have gas water heaters
On the way back to town I see the trucks are gone ?
Wait guys I still have no effin power
A half mile further up the road we spot the same group of AEP trucks and Delaware city trucks .....and the same guys standing around looking now up a different pole at another transformer
Did you dorks work on the wrong transformer ?
Who knows?????????? but now 14 hours later we have power
