Regarding the Solstice, the V-8 version is all fine and dandy, but I would not buy one. For no other reason than, it was never engineered that way. So no matter what engine and what suspension you put into it, there was not the complete thought and design process to ensure all components will work in concert to provide a better overall driving experience, outside of stop-light to stop-light.
Besides that, the cost list did not address all the upgrades and as Popeye said, what about the rest of the drivetrain?

How about this ?
That Photo Shopped S2000 Coupe has some Datsun 240Z and some Austin Martin all mixed together. Looks good.
Although, it is slammed a bit much for daily driving duties.

its to light, it should be all over the road with that much power. if not the rear diff will be in parts on the side of the road with the first launch of the car
