Default New shifter installed

I received this for xmas, and just put it in yesterday when I could drive the car since it was decent out. I really didnt think our gearbox could be improved upon.... boy I was wrong! This thing kicks ass, throws are very short. The shifter is about an inch smaller then the stock one, so the knob sits lower, if you have a countersunk knob like the voodoo or muz the shifter can be very very short, maybe even to short for some peoples liking. First impression is amazing, you can "feel" the transmission alot more. Each gear feels somewhat diffrent when shifting into it, I think it is because of the syncro's. To some it up this mod gets 2 very big thumbs up from me. Heres some pics:

During install

The shifter can sit this low with a countersunk knob

This is how I have it set up currently with my Muz knob

Interesting Mark;how is the driving position now and is there a tendency to miss shifts now?

Its actually a less possibility that you will miss a shift because each gear feels diffrent you can realize you selected the wrong gear. I think this post will explain it a little better https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=344232

Driving position is fine, same as stock but the knob is a little lower, other then that its exactly the same.

i think the counter sunk knob is plenty.. i have driven SC s2ks with shirt shifters and slamming them into gears is a PIA. i can see how that helps banging around 200hp all day but when u slam around high hp s2ks i wouldnt risk it.. cool but your changing something that already works good! i wouldnt mind checking it out though. if your hitting sabs up let me know.
