A superlicence is an F1 competition requirement and is only issued to a driver who holds a valid contract with a currently competing F1 team as the first, second or reserve driver.

Drivers must have a Grade "A" FIA International licence in order to apply for a superlicence; this is also the usual requirement for IRL and Champ Cars. All drivers you see at official F1 tests have at least this licence.

 

It's all good then.

That pretty much did it. CTS-V vs. son......he wins every time. I hope he remembers this in 13 years when he's asking for the keys to my "classic" S.

I plan to keep dreaming about the CTS-V, though!

 

CTS-V is one impressive auto, but family comes first. Remember, your kids are only young once and your parents are only old once. There will be other chances in life at everything else.

 

Ahhh so it's just a way for F1 to collect fees, much like a regular driver license.

I don't agree with Rich often (maybe I'm just getting old and conservative), but in this economy, I'd save some coin and keep the RL.
