unfortunately i can't do the annual rt 26 trip due to my work schedule. i am thinking about driving it next week though. i live near akron and figure it will take an hour and a half or so to get to rt 26 heading south. from you experienced with this road, how long does it take to drive it to marietta? trying to figure out if i want to make this a one day trip with a lot of driving or stay the night in marietta and make it a two day trip. thanks for the help.

 

It can be easily done as a one-day trip from Akron (I live near Cleveland, and just recently did a scouting trip for other roads in the area. I got to Cambridge at 9:30, lunch in Marietta, back at Cambridge by 3, home by 5:30. Though I went Ohio Rt 555 (on the west side of I-77 instead of Rt. 26 on the east side), the times should be similar.

I think 26 is about 75 miles end to end, so expect 2 hours or so for that part of it. Have a great drive!
