$38k....ummmmm no way

Let's be honest. The S2000 is fairly exclusive as it is. Over its life, all changes have been evolutionary. The car handles impressively well out the door, better than any of its competitors. Why am I rambling on about this? Because the CR is more of the same. I think that is good, but not for a 10% higher price. This model is meant to be a Club Racer. Why would someone who wants a Club Racer need a stereo or A/C or a soft-top? What the C/R really needs a cage. I am surprised Honda isn't offering this car at a lower price with no warranty considering the intent.

Is it more exclusive? Objectively speaking, yes. But why would you buy a C/R just to park it in a collection? This model is meant for the track, not to be wiped with a swiffer daily. Track cars and show cars are two different animals. It is near impossible to have one car be both all of the time.

There is no gaurantee that a Limited Edition model will hold a premium value over its life. Look in the cars for sale forum and see what people are selling their cars for, its sobering. Owning an S2000 probably means you are the only person in your neighborhood with one. Owning a C/R probably means the exact same thing (C/R or not).

Cool. I like the tonneau cover, but i wish it could be made to fit in the trunk.

Congrats, you now have a 0year/0mile warranty.
I've been working on cars since I was 8. I don't need a warranty. Within a month of buying every car I've ever owned, I've done something that would void a warranty (mostly cat deletes). If I bought a new S2000, CR or not, it would get the same treatment, warranty be damned.

That's what I used to say till I got burned years ago. A new motor in most cars to day is at least 6k. In my 335, a long block is 17K (22k on an M5 or M6) plus install, so the warranty is very crucial.

Did you install that 500hp turbo kit for your S2000 yourself too?
